Nothing much

Today was basically just slacking my whole day in school.

As usual, we were supposed to continue with our research for our project. However, one after another, team members started to 'disappear.' I guess everyone's thinking not to be so kan chiong as it needs to be done by Friday. But Friday is soon here. Haha..

Anyway, I soon disappeared too. I actually headed down to Raffles to meet my parents for lunch. Had to change the G2000 jacket as I felt getting a size bigger would be better. I had Tom Yum fish soup and tried roti mama. The final verdict? Roti boy is still the best so far.

The rest of the day was slacking at BPOS. Chit-chatted and did puzzles just to pass time.

Night falls, morning comes.. what's new?

Things have changed..

So much for wanting to continue watching Wimbleton. But I am tired. Was watching Lleyton Hewitt playing against Dent from America. Hewitt could have won in straight sets but he lost the tie break in the third set so he gotta continue playing. Still, he won without question.

Hmmm.. another day is soon gone again. Oh how I miss the old times. The tutorials and lectures, doing weekly tutorials though I used to hate it but now miss it. I miss the breaks where we would go to grassroots to play pool or the arcade, or out for lunch nearby.. I miss playing badminton, table-tennis, mini-soccer, basketball with ALL my pals.. I miss going to the beach for a tan, volleyball and kayaking.. I miss so many other things I used to do.. It isn't the same anymore..

Someone give all those back to mEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee..

Why can't weekends be longer...

It's Sunday, just like that. So not looking forward to a new week because life on TEP starts again. And just when I thought it's so long to the first stopover, it was more bad news. Apparently stocks were missing.. this time, is real bad. Damn.. I thought it was settled and it was returned to the supplier but what the heck.. I won't want to pay that huge sum of money. Sigh..

Let's talk about yesterday which was about 45 mins ago.

I woke up and received quite a few SMSes. Most were from Clarice asking me about the Black Eyed Peas party at Zouk..(It was an event supported by the NKF).

After deciding, I didn't go cause I wanted to go for guitar lessons. So went for my dental appointment with my Mum in the morning. It was a long wait for me. When my mum had her teeth checked and cleaned, I was still sitting at the sofa, waiting for my turn.

Finally I went in and got my teeth checked by Dr Tan. Told him about the slightly shifted in tooth and he said I will need to do another retainer to shift it. And there goes $150.

Had Sakae Sushi with my mum later and then some shopping. Was at Raffles then Dhoby Ghaut then went straight for my guitar lessons because I wanted to save the hassle going back home again.

Guitar is getting harder by the week. Learned Right Here Waiting intro and my hand and fingers were aching after that. Haha.. cause there was a need to stretch further for some notes and to the need to use the little finger quite a couple of times.

After lessons, met Michelle at Orchard. She entertained me with her interesting story about her day with her friend. Haha it was funny how her friend was so unlucky with 'shits,' 'tear,' and 'spill.' Met up with Mel and Clarice later and had our dinner at Crystal Jade. =)

Let me end off by saying.. Corrinne May's songs are nice!!

Here it goes again..zzz..

Haha I was late for about 15 mins for this new stopover, ARDC. Kinda anti-social cause firstly I did not really know any one at all and secondly just didn't feel like talking. I was tired, sleepy and bored. But after getting to my group started talking a little. Everyone seems to know one another already because they either came from the same stopover or they were classmates before. Except me.. Haha..

ARDC is boring! Now I am complaining and I miss EVRS. How ironic huh? Last time I remembered saying this and that about EVRS. Saying it was a total waste of time and blah blah blah and now...

Great. And I have to do a dumb presentation tomorrow. Wonder why what else we will be doing.. More research stuffs?

To think it's only the first day. I definitely helps thinking positive...

Well, but glad to know I watched a movie, Mr and Mrs Smith. Went to watch it with Clarice at PS. Nice action + comedy. I will rate it 3/5.

Hmm.. it seems to me I am getting more busy. Maybe it's good~ ;) Alright, alright I better go to bed soon...

Last Day in EVRS!

Today is the last day in EVRS stopover! Yeah, TGIF! =) I am bored so I just came into the school's access lab to surf.

Anyway, when I entered the project room at about 8.50, it was so quiet and empty. The festive team wasn't there... Team 2 wasn't there and I only saw one person from team 3.. And my team has like 4 people including me and 2 more should be on their way. Grrr.. why can't we take block leave on Friday just like them?

So how am I going to spend my time? Haha I probably will surf around and chat online. But shucks, the eMessenger don't seem to be working cause I can't log in. Hmm.. I reckon NYP must have found out that many students have been accessing eMessenger and they have tried to ban it already. Great..

Well let me talk about yesterday then. It was supposedly my block leave but I came back to school to do project and to finish up the ICA presentation. I slept late the night before doing my reports and I was just hoping the day would pass quickly. I was waiting for the presentation to be over.

Haha was totally unprepared for it actually. There wasn't any rehearsals or preparation of speeches. I just presented from the slides. Said a few stuffs wrongly but heck, it's over. =X I think our team did great with creativity! But the bad thing was that the lecturers said we went a little out of point.

After the presentation, went to Clarice to J8 to have our so called lunch. Had big meal in Yoshinoya because we ordered the combo meal. Was so full after that and we walked around for a while. Then it was time to go home and just slack the right of the time away!

I was basically just playing ConquerOnline.. rushing my character to level 70. It was so tedious and difficult but I had all the armour and weapons ready for level 70. So it was kinda exciting. After dinner, continued playing then watched television because there was Lost and The O.C. That's about it..

Zzzzz.. bored.. bored.. bored.. But never mind.. should be going to Esplanade after school or maybe having some other plans. =D

Runway Cycling

Runway cycling today!

Woke up at about 7.45am today and saw that the weather isn't good. It was dark and gloomy and I hoped that the weather was fine over at the air base. As soon as I was ready to, it started drizzling and it got a little heavier. My bro fetched me to the bus stop and I took bus 70 down to Paya Lebar MRT and then to Eunos to meet Clarice. We then took the free shuttle bus in to the air base itself.

We reached and was blur because we didn't know where to proceed? Followed some people in front where there was a security check and then went to collect our bikes at the booth. Haha after that we didn't know where to start. We cycled inwards towards the tents and where all the noise and excitement was.

I heard a familiar tune and everything soon came back to me again. I was so sure that Bowen Band was actually performing.... And I was right! Saw so many new faces but one I would not forget would be Mrs Chan. Seeing the performance brought me back to the time when I was under the hot sun marching and holding on to my Trombone. I was enduring the heat and the intense training... Those were the times...

Finally, we knew where to start from and embarked on the 15km route. Took a few pics first and then started riding. Surrounding the tracks were like foresty areas so it was kinda nice riding because it gave me the laidback kinda feel. As Clarice said, it would be good for horse riding.

Great exercise and fun today. After that, went to IMM for lunch. I had Nasi Bryani, Clarice had seafood baked rice and we shared a popiah. Was really full after that. Next walked down to Creative's building to send my player for servicing. Yeah.. and I thought I was supposed to leave my player there for repair or something and I have to come down another time to collect it.. But no! They actually gave me a new player as replacement. Heh heh.. not bad after all.

I came back really tired. Took a bath and after packing and doing some stuffs, I fell asleep on bed. I only woke up when the phone rang. It was my mum who told me to get ready to go to my grandma's house as my uncle was coming to pick us up.

My uncle told lots of stories today to everyone. About the happenings at his flat, to some scary stories and told us things in the bible about God and stuffs. It was interesting to hear some of it. Haha he seems lively today and my grandma couldn't believe some of the things he said. She showed us the he-is-talking-rubbish face and said that he had too much to drink which was funny.

That's for today.. Better concentrate on my project and report now..

Aritisticio

Thursday 9/6 - Finally my official rest day! Had always been wondering.. when will be block leave day be or will I even get it? Was supposed to go the the beach with Sentosa with Clarice but she was stuck with her roadshow. She could take out 3 hours of her time but I wanted to spend the whole day there. So it was cancelled and I my whole day was actually spent at home. Played computer games, read my unfinished book, watched television.. Well, these are the typical stuffs I will do when I have to spend a day at home. =) And yes, the world premier of Lost. There was already intensity to the start of the show and each moment just keeps you in suspense. Its like every single part reaches a climax and then BANG! A certain mystery to the island and there's a 'it' there everyone is unsure of running lose in the jungles. And what's a polar bear doing on the island? Just have to watch on to find out....... :o By the way, I miss the O.C.. I think it should be back next week.

Friday 10/6 - Went out with Yanlin for lunch at Wheelock's Sakae and then played a few games of pool at Cineleisure. Then rushed back to school because of one pathetic MSI laptop but at the same time went there to take a look at Club Crawl. I signed up for some CCAs.. Haha.. However, for the one that I had always wanted to sign up for since year 1, I didn't! It is none other than tennis. Hmm.. Yup so after much squeezing at the sports hall, headed down to Bazaar to check out on the MSI laptop. Realised it wasn't there and gave a call to MSC Fusion asking whether it was delivered. No was the reply and I smsed the supplier once again only to find out that it had been already delivered and it was with IM. Zzzzz.. so settled with that and called the guy to come down to collect it. Just as I thought my job was done, Ms Soh came in and saw me. "Hey Cheryl, I thought you were on block leave today?" In reply, I said that I came to settle the MSI laptop and to my horror she said "Oh, since you are already here, can you run through the stocks for Karadora and get back to me?" Just great, I thought. I was in Bazaar at the perfect moment. Well, to make things more diffcult for me, the product list was nowhere to be found. I had no other choice but to write down everything again on a blank piece of paper. Haha.. but in a way it was a good for me too because I still had to wait for Clarice to finish up her stuffs so we could leave school.

And when everything was done, it was off to the Esplanade! Hmm.. it seems that that place has become out favourite hangout on Fridays. As usual, had our meal at Gluttons Bay and checked out the outdoor performance. The performance was by a Fillipino I guess? Quite a good looking guy =X and he have what it takes to do Musicals. Perhaps he has already but I don't know.. it's my first time seeing him. It seems popular though, the place was fully packed and there were still by-standers around the area. I reckon too that it is rather popular with the middle-aged group. And yah, he really gets the audience involved. Asking them to snap their fingers to the beat, cracking jokes now and then, and even going up to some for a dance.

Soon there was a break. We wanted to go back in but there was another performance outside. We decided to sit down and watch. Soon, it started drizzling. Kinda felt this strange feeling like why is it raining just after we sit. Clarice said the rain was man-made and I kept looking up to see. Haha.. it was kinda funny but it was actually REALLY raining. Anyway, apparently there was 1 guy, painted in yellow and 2 ladies painted in green and pink respectively, all kinda half-naked. They seemed to be experimenting on some kind of magical solution. They pour it somewhere and they will mix it up with their hands and after a while, the solution will continuously pour out till it stops and hardens up like a exploding spongy pie. It's kinda fascinating by till today, I am still wondering what's it about because I dont get it? Artistic and creative though...

Next up was Haagen-Daaz ice-cream. We both bought a single scoop each on a cone. One Baileys and one Belgian chocolate. The ice-cream was nice but it melted fast. Clarice did a few artistic drops on her yellow t shirt. She became a walking chocolate banana. =P

Ate so much today. Cause my dad fetched me at the MRT, went home and picked up my mum and grandparents for dinner and I just tagged along.. only to find myself staring at the delicious food in front of my eyes. I couldn't eat anymore but you know.. =X

So that wraps up the day and I regretted not bringing my camera!!!

Saturday 11/6 - Day is not over yet and the usual, going for guitar lessons and out for dinner with friends. Probably going to eat at Fish and Co. =)

Update...

What can I say? I don't have the mood to blog these days.

Anyway, on Sunday, I went to the PC show once again but this time with my parents. I wanted to get a digital cam for such a long time and yesterday was the chance. =X My parents don't seem to mind getting a new one because the current one is not functioning properly even after a repair. So yes, I got what I wanted haha.. A new sony DSC-W5. My dad did bargain a little so we got it a little less the price they were offering. Actually, I had no intention buying that model because I was looking at the slimmer ones. However, after weighing the pros and cons, a slim camera might not be a good choice. Well, it depends what you kind of a user are you and what's your preference.

Ahh yes... something I must mention is having so called dinner-supper at my dad's friend house. Excuse me, I mean a house that look like a chalet mansion or maybe even like a mini country club? Seriously it was the biggest house I had ever stepped in to. The family is really rich just by looking at the assets they own.

There was about a few cars inside their huge compound, a coil pond, 5 maids, a grand piano worth thousands, a room with a few gym equipments, a basement with bomb shelters and a KTV room and so on and so forth. To me it was like a house I only see in dreams. Haha.. wonder when will I ever own a house that big.

And to end off, it's nothing good. It's about today. Just when I thought the IT fair was over and everything was nice and smooth, there were actually discrepancies with the stocks for a particular supplier. Things are not settled yet and we have to see to the problem tomorrow. Hope it goes well and the sum of money is not a huge figure. Argh...

Once again, TGIF

It always feels great when school ends.. especially on a Friday. We will all go like TGIF!

I guess I won't talk anything about what's happening in school because I am real tired of it. Physically and mentally draining. So let me just go on to what happened AFTER school.. =D

It's down to City hall with Clarice. Went to Glutton's Bay to have dinner and Michelle joined us there. After that, watched a live band performance just outside the esplanade. The songs and music was awesome. The singer is Wendi Koh if I am not wrong. She sang a few songs from her CD, Gutsy Girl and a couple of other old and recent songs. She's good. Clarice!!! Go buy her CD..!! =X

Then we had drinks at Harry's.. just talked and chilled.

I miss the hot dogs!!!
